Every product we make is tested by our own kids before it ever reaches your home, and we want you to feel just as good about it as we do. If something is not right, we will make it right.
Our 30-day promise
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, an item needs to come back to us unused and in its original condition, with all of its pieces and the drawstring pouch it arrived in. Because our toys are natural, unfinished wood, we ask that returned items be kept clean and dry so the next family can enjoy them as much as you did.
How to start a return or exchange
Reach out to us at lauren@bosefamilystudios.com within 30 days of receiving your order, and let us know your order number and whether you would like a refund or an exchange. We will walk you through the next steps and send you the return address. Once your item arrives back to us in original condition, we will process your refund to the original payment method, usually within a few business days.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs, and we recommend using a tracked service so your package finds its way safely back to our studio in Portland. Original shipping charges are not refundable.
Personalized and custom pieces
Many of our products can be personalized with a name or a theme, and we are always happy to see them made just for the child you are shopping for. Personalized and custom orders follow the same 30-day return and exchange terms as the rest of our shop, so you can order with confidence.
Need to cancel?
If you change your mind, you can cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase and we will refund you in full. After that short window we may have already started cutting and finishing your pieces by hand, so we are not able to cancel once production is underway. If you are ever unsure whether your order has started, just send us a message and we will let you know.
If something arrives damaged or not as described
We package every order carefully, but shipping can be unpredictable. If your toy arrives damaged, defective, or not matching its description, please email us at lauren@bosefamilystudios.com within 30 days with a photo of the issue. We will send a replacement or a full refund, including any shipping costs, and you will not need to send the item back at your own expense. Problems like this are on us to solve.
A note on natural wood
Our products are made from real Baltic birch and other natural hardwoods, finished only with food-safe beeswax and jojoba oil. Small variations in grain, color, and tone are part of what makes each piece one of a kind, and they are not considered defects. We think those little differences are part of the beauty of handmade, wood-based play.
